RE your recent correspondence about reintroducing dog licensing (HAS, Jan 20 and Jan 29). This just would not work. It costs too much to collect, and can you really believe the yobs walking our streets with huge “status symbol” dogs such as Staffordshire bull terriers, etc, would pay up? No, I don’t think so. It would have to come out of their beer and fag money.
