DAVID THOMAS (HAS, Jan 26) is absolutely right about the impending changes to the way the NHS is to be funded.
The plan to hand over huge budgets to GPs is as incompetent as it is dishonest.
Doctors will get extra work with less money than the primary care trusts to work with.
The PCT at Tees has paid staff large redundancies and is reemploying the same staff from agencies to fill in their own posts It will be interesting to see exactly how much this massacre of our health service will actually cost.
I certainly see no savings and a decimated health service that will never recover.
