IN reply to Emma Thomas (HAS, Jan 24), regarding road gritters.
She is lucky the gritter goes down her road twice a day.
We have lived in this house for 23 years and have never seen a gritter working its way down our street.
How do we cope? We stay at home, frightened to venture out in case we fall and break our bones.
