Darlington householders have been extremely lucky. I cannot praise the binmen, the milkman and the paperboy too much.
They have never missed a collection or a delivery throughout the snow. I live in a cul-de-sac where the snow was never moved from the road which turned into ice – and still they came. Thanks to them all.
