THE Labour Party appear to be promoting the idea of a graduate tax for English students instead of university tuition fees.
They call it a graduate tax, but is that actually what Ed Miliband is proposing? The Milibands do not intend to pay for their university education.
Nor do they intend to charge Nick Clegg and David Cameron for the free university education they received.
The policy they are proposing is not a tax on graduates but tuition fees under a different name.
Changing the name of something doesn’t really address the problem. Why don’t we just fund university education like we used to?
