FOLLOWING recent letters in Hear All Sides about otters I would point out that the various nature reserves we are fortunate to have in our region are great places to further educate adults and children alike on wildlife topics.
On my last visit to Low Barns Nature Reserve, near Witton-le-Wear, County Durham, in April I was lucky to be able to get this photograph of a resting otter. Mind you, I did wait for about three hours before getting this shot. Patience was a virtue in this case.
