ONCE again the Conservatives are unable to collect enough parliamentary seats to command a majority – it couldn’t be something to do with ridiculous constituency boundaries perhaps?
As a resident of Middleton St George, my constituency is Sedgefield. This is a nonsense as all of the surrounding villages are also swept into this constituency which has no relevance to the people surrounding Darlington.
Hurworth and even Low Coniscliffe, I believe, are also within the Sedgefield constituency, but Sedgefield has nothing to do with us. Our services are provided by Darlington Borough Council to whom we pay council tax and I believe we should be within the Darlington constituency.
I feel that it is time this anomaly was corrected. I wonder who else feels this way?
Sue Hammler, Middleton St George, near Darlington.
