IN the forthcoming General Election campaign we will have clear differences between the main parties at least in the presentational sense. In the red corner, we will find the glowering presence of Gordon Brown backed up by the massed ranks of Scottish ministers and MPs.
Facing him in the blue corner is Tory toff David Cameron supported by the full membership of the Bullingdon Club, circa 1988.
If it was a rugby game it could be between the Old Caledonians and the Old Etonians. With this on offer, and the public fallout over the expenses scandal, surely this election must see the smaller parties start to pick up votes from the discredited big two.
