THE Queen’s Birthday Honours List, when baubles are handed out like packets of Dolly Mixtures to the good and sometimes the not so good, was published recently.
In these desperate times must we have “Orders of the British Empire” and “Members of the British Empire”? For heaven’s sake, it is 2009.
