MIGHT I suggest that all Northern Rock employees who received a bonus payment last Friday donate that money (less income tax) to a fund which will help all of their former colleagues who were recently made redundant.
I am sure this gesture would endear these employees to the wider North-East population and remove the stigma of greed associated with these indecent bonuses.
