MOST of the world will have sighed with relief when George W Bush stepped down as US President.

This warmonger and his loyal lapdog, Tony Blair, have created a mess in Iraq which will surely haunt the Middle East for generations to come.

Perhaps we should be grateful that the Bush regime did not invade Iran. Only a complete and utter madman would attack a country that has a nuclear programme.

Barack Obama not only has the US economy and Iraq to sort out, there is also the huge task of rebuilding America’s shattered reputation on the world stage.

As for Mr Bush, his only legacy will be a disastrous foreign policy and his own basic incompetence.
