RE Roland Bramham’s letter (HAS, Jan 20) about three-yearold Eddie Blades’ plea to Gordon Brown for funding for a cancer wonder drug that could extend his father Paul’s life.
I find it totally abhorrent that a government would rather spend billions of pounds on futile wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. It also gives billions of pounds to that great money-wasting place called the EU. There are people dying here from cancer and other diseases who need to be helped.
