IN among the donors contributing to Labour’s forthcoming election battles, according to Electoral Commission figures, we see the name of discredited former Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Apparently, he has earned an estimated £12m since Gordon Brown booted him out of office.

The pair may now have patched things up for the party’s sake and, as a result, Mr Blair has contributed £7,500 to the cause.

One can only wonder what one may receive in return for such donations – a peerage perhaps?

While earning his £12m fortune he has amassed much from his book deal and public speaking. However, it beggars belief that £2.5m reportedly came from advising two banks.

No wonder then that the banks are in crisis, bearing in mind the way he ran the UK Government for a decade.
