MOST people now know that Britain is no longer governed by our own Parliament. A good example is the level of VAT.
The Taxpayers' Alliance has pointed out that the Government will be extorting £535m in VAT on building repairs caused by last summer's flood damage, while contributing only £86m in grants.
What a massive profit the Government makes out of the people's misery.
But what if we had a government which recognised this scandal and wanted to do something about it?
Well, they could not do a thing.
Because the European Union sets VAT rates and there is absolutely nothing the British people or Government can do - except, of course, get our country back so that they could make such decisions. But none of the "major political parties"
in Britain will do so.
There is an organisation which will and democrats who care about their country, their parliament and their democracy can use it at the next General Election. It is the British Declaration of Independence (www.bdicampaign.org).
