IN your report about the Easter break (Echo, Mar 22) you published a photograph of road traffic emerging from what I took to be the A1 on to the A66 at Scotch Corner.
The caption to this photograph stated " queues of cars and caravans build up on the A1 at Scotch Corner". Surely the photograph itself disputes this comment regarding queues of caravans?
In the picture, I counted 43 cars, three commercial vehicles, but only two caravans; or am I missing something?
In all seriousness, as an avid caravanner, I fear that -like Mr J Clarkson, of Top Gear infamy - someone on your staff has a phobia about, and a bias against, the legitimate use of caravans on our roads.
