NOW that Darlington FC have well and truly established themselves as genuine promotion contenders this season, surely it is time for the people of Darlington and district to get themselves up to the Arena and support their local team in force.

I've heard many puny excuses why many don't bother, none of which cut any ice. Surely chairman George Houghton, manager Dave Penney and his fantastic team deserve better support for their efforts.

Only Manchester United have a better defence in England and the black and white hoops are scoring regularly and with some style.

So come on you lazy lot - get out of the shops and pubs and get the Quaker habit back. If you can't support Darlo now, you never will.
