ALL those who disagree with the introduction of ID cards ignore the fact that this is the only way to check the numbers of illegal immigrants coming to Britain, or those who already are here.
And, yes, we do know that cards can possibly be wangled, forged or whatever, but what other choice do we have to maintain a reasonable number of people in Britain, to stop over-stretching housing availability, crowded schools, hospitals, towns, roads?
A type of ID card is coming, anyway, on bank cards in three or four years.
