THANK you, Peter Mullen, for the insightful and thought-provoking article on the abolition of the blasphemy laws (Echo, Jan 15).
When you think about the points raised, it is true that, generally, this country has changed beyond recognition in the past 50 years or so in regards to its attitude towards the Christian faith.
As Mr Mullen says "what will become of a nation which has abolished God?" It is indeed another story. One that makes worrying reading in the Bible, where other nations have tried the experiment. It is a topic that should be addressed from every pulpit in the land, but no doubt won't warrant a mention in most. We reap what we sow.
