I, LIKE most people in this country, was amazed to see in America the state of Minnesota is to pay George Floyd’s family out of taxpayers’ money the sum of $27m.
He was a known criminal and whether he was killed legally or illegally is a matter of conjecture.
During the years 1955 to 1975, 58,000 American troops were killed fighting somebody else’s war.
I cannot help but wonder what percentage of $27m their families were awarded for the deaths of their hard working, courageous, law abiding loved ones.
Over the last four years ex-president Trump would have us believe that America is the greatest nation in the world. If this is the case, then God help the worst.
