IF, as is claimed, Boris Johnson takes the odd midday power nap, he’s in excellent company because Leonardo da Vinci, Albert Einstein, John F Kennedy and Boris’s idol, Winston Churchill, were all prone to the same reinvigorating habit.
Napping may be the reason for our PM’s string of extraordinary successes: winning the 1916 referendum; winning the 2019 general election; implementing Brexit whilst pulling off two improbable deals with the EU, the Withdrawal Agreement and the recent Trade Agreement.
I’m not a regular catnapper but, if I ever manage to drop off, even for ten minutes, I wake far more prepared for the rest of the day.
Nap on, Boris!
Cllr Steve Kay (Ind), Redcar & Cleveland council, Moorsholm.
