I ONLY hope my eyes are deceiving me this morning as while reading about Lee Cain’s resignation from the Government “Johnson ‘focused’ despite aide row” (Echo, Nov 13), I came across these very words: Dominic Cummings “is seen as the most powerful figure in No 10”.
I checked my calendar. It’s not April 1, but it is Friday the 13th.
OMG if this rule-breaker is the most powerful figure in No 10 we might as well break out the cyanide pills now!
Well, I never, you could have knocked me over with a slate from his wrongly converted cottage. I have friends who went to school with him, and I just can’t get that song out of my head: “Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right”.
John Cumberland, Rushyford.
