MIDDLESBROUGH mayor Andy Preston seems to be changing his mind on the proposed snow dome for Middlesbrough (Echo, Nov 4).
He stated the multi-million pound proposals “don’t stack up financially”, so why did he not put a block on it as soon as he was elected?
His final comment was: “The issue comes down to two questions: who will pay to have the Snow Centre built and if it doesn’t work out down the line, who will swallow the losses?”
Surely a man with his business experience ought to have asked those questions and got the answers before supporting the proposal and singing it’s praises?
Cllr Joan Mctigue, Middlesbrough.
