Royal British Legion risks losing branches
BESIDES losing Andy Muckle, a lovely and thoughtful gentleman who had been a long suffering Prisoner of War and a worker on the notorious Burma railway under the Japanese in the Second World War, the Richmond Royal British Legion Branch has just lost another former PoW, John Jeffries.
John was certainly a lovely, quiet, thoughtful, generous and talented person , and a “spirit of adventure” Arnhem veteran.
Today, the Richmond British Legion branch, which is made up on ex-military campaign veterans and their wives, we are proud to have two wounded ex-NCOs Afghanistan veterans as local members.
