WE are very quick to lay the blame the young for rising infection levels of Covid-19 and forget that it is the duty of us all to behave responsibly.
On Wednesday, while walking the lines near Langley Park, we encountered a large crowd of at least 10 middle aged to elderly ramblers. They were walking two or more abreast, shoulder to shoulder, and made no effort to get into single file as they passed people walking in the opposite direction.
When challenged as to social distancing these thoughtless idiots disdainfully replied: “We are outside, so it doesn’t matter!”
How on earth do we get through to such stupid, selfish people the dangers, even outdoors, of this deadly disease?
Val Hawkins, Langley Park.
