I WOULD like to thank Brenda Flynn (HAS, Sept 29/Oct 7) for taking the time to detail the problem of trying to book an appointment for a flu vaccination using the NHS app.

Having the same experience, I abandoned my attempt.

The good news is that I telephoned my surgery and in less than two minutes, had a date and time confirmed.

I have now had my flu jab.

Like you, I believe there must be a better way.
