WE are in a terrible health crisis at present with Covid-19, and it’s easy to blame Boris Johnson, but we all need to take a bit of personal responsibility to stop this spreading.

My wife and I were shopping in ASDA at the Metro Centre on Sunday afternoon and we were shocked and saddened to see at least ten people walking around with no face coverings.

They were all in their 20s with no obvious health issues. I shouldn’t stereotype but have to say they were all similar – the type that thought that the face mask policy didn’t apply to them.

Why should they cover up their expensive whitened teeth or lip fillers?

The masks will spoil their foundation or designer stubble.

Surely something needs to be done. Today’s society is too scared to confront anyone in case they are offended. If you haven’t got a medical certificate to prove exemption, wear a mask like everyone else.

If you think you are above the law that’s fine. Just shop online and keep out of shops and other public spaces.

Are these young adults too thick to realise the severity of this pandemic?

If so, the future’s not looking too good for us oldies.
