THE location of Durham County Council’s new headquarters on The Sands in Durham City is on a potential flood plain and is accessed by a terrible road to get out of into the city centre – it is a steep hill with pedestrian controlled lights at the top.
That will be brilliant when all the council staff are leaving to go home. There will be so many hill starts that employees will not have anything left in their clutch mechanism in a short time, which will mean costly repairs!
These people in the planning department couldn’t plan a trip to Blackpool.
The same goes for the Darlington lot – who gave the go-ahead for the Haughton Road throughabout then paid a fortune to turn it in a roundabout?
Sack the lot of them!
