WHY do rivers continue to flood? It may be that councils across the land need to put in place a river dredging plan as the deeper the river the more water it can hold. To me, it is common sense that rivers are always getting choked with silt and weeds.
I hope some councils wake up and protect the flooded areas quickly by dredging the worst areas.
