WHILST the new flights for Teesside Airport are good news, something which must be addressed is the cost of car parking for people actually going on holiday from the airport.
Visitor car parking charges are good with free parking for a reasonable length of time, but for those who are driving to Teesside Airport and parking up and then flying out on holiday, car parking charges are out of sync with rival airports, presently being about 50 per cent more expensive than Newcastle.
To attract these holidaymakers car parking charges for them need to be reduced.
