IT has been reported that the BBC is talking of censoring some episodes of Only Fools and Horses and Fawlty Towers because they are offending some people.

I am offended by the atrocious language that some programmes contain, but accept that it is a supposed reflection of today's society and, as such, I try to ignore the offensive language and look at the wider context of the programmes.

So, why can't the sensitive souls who feel offended by Only Fools and Horses and Fawlty Towers accept that they were made in a different time and that they reflect society as it was then?

Of course, if one feels offended by anything on television, just switch it off!
