AS we are all aware, the silly season for letting off fireworks is with us.
Every night we hear the bangs from fireworks being let off, and even during some days. Local councils have been advertising their own displays, but I would welcome an answer from a Wear Valley or Darlington councillor as to why they commemorate Guy Fawkes night on the wrong day? Full marks to Aycliffe whose display is on Monday, November 5.
