JUST as football has changed over recent years in the way that various formations and tactics have evolved, then the refreshing style adapted by Japan in the current Rugby World Cup could well be taken up by others nations.

For many years it has been an accepted approach that size and power have dictated the game, however the speed and handling ability of the Japan players have provided coaches with a sporting dilemma. It has certainly given the neutral supporters a different view of Rugby and perhaps it could see the start of a new era in how the game develops.
