IT’S an absolute disgrace that the Government has refused to provide Sirius Minerals on the east Cleveland coast with loan guarantees to enable them to finish their magnificent, ambitious mining project on time (Echo, Sept 17).
With 1,200 jobs, local investors' cash and massive exporting capacity at stake, this is exactly the type of project that should be supported by the Government.
What’s happened to the Northern Powerhouse, supposedly aimed at uplifting the north’s economy?
With the additional stimulus of a general election in the offing, what’s Boris waiting for?
