WHAT a surprise on Monday (Jan 7) to see Hear All Sides full of the same tired old pro-Brexit arguments.
As if we hadn’t heard it all dozens of times before.
What I’ve noticed from your Letters page over the past year is the difference in tone between the pro and anti-Brexit letters; on Monday we had the appalling insult: “traitorous remoaners”.
Clearly the Queen’s Christmas message asking us to respect opponents’ points of view was lost on this writer.
But my experience is that the Brexiteers never listen to anyone else. Of course, voting to consign the UK to the wilderness couldn’t possibly be traitorous, could it?
It seems clear to me from these letters that remainers are far nicer people than the leavers. I’m sure that Anna Soubry agrees with me.
