ONCE again at Christmastime, the British public were hounded by TV adverts asking them to give money to Africa for water, medicines and food.

We are told that refugee camps are overflowing, but if you look at the adverts, you never see a male refugee anywhere – it is the females you see carry water for miles and miles.

So where, I wonder, does the £13bn ring-fenced by David Cameron for overseas aid, actually go?

For decades, we have sent trillions to Africa, plus food and medicine – every African should be healthy and well fed with thousands of wells to give them clean water.

They should be living happy, healthy lives.

In this country, we have children starving because of Government cuts.

I say let charity begin at home.

Take the overseas aid budget and see to our people first because no matter how long we throw money to Africa, nothing changes – children still die and families are left by the males who try to sneak into Britain.

We should spend the £13bn in Britain on our poor and starving people.
