TWO years after the Brexit vote, and despite our allegedly open Government, I have never known what was happening and now the facts are coming to light your change would seem to keep the country tied to the EU almost indefinitely.

You have kept the country ill informed and at the mercy of scaremongers and fake news prophets.

I, like yourself, received a grammar school education. However, it would seem that the words “to leave” as defined by an English dictionary – depart from, go away from, go from, withdraw from, retire from – may have had a different meaning in your school.

You, Madam Prime Minister, had the chance to be possibly our greatest Prime Minister since Winston Churchill and probably of all times.

However, I think Neville Chamberlain and his policy of appeasement may prove to be a closer comparison.

Please Prime Minister not only for the country but for yourself so that you are not remembered like Guy Fawkes whose attempt at bringing Parliament down failed with ignominy, please leave with at least a modicum of respect, unlike your predecessor, David Cameron.
