HARRY MEAD writes of taking control back from the EU with regard to the operation of power stations (Echo, Nov 21).
I wonder how he feels about giving control of our food quality to Donald Trump. Trump has frequently commented that European Food Standards are much too high.
He has recently stated that once we leave the EU he will look forward to and expect a trade deal with the UK regarding food which would be to US standards, not ours.
For instance their regulations state how many maggots, fly eggs, and rat hairs can be tolerated in a range of foodstuffs, and what contamination can be tolerated in milk.
Will I be safe if I turn vegan, and will Harry be joining me?
