JUST recently I was looking through a book of political cartoons. The latest shenanigans about Brexit triggered the thought that it could prove fertile ground for another one.
I could imagine Stan Laurel (bearing a striking resemblance to Theresa May) and Oliver Hardy in the guise of John Bull standing on a map of Britain gazing into the sunset with the word Brexit illuminated and John Bull uttering, rather wearily his classic phrase: “That’s another fine mess you’ve got me into”.
