ON Thursday, October 18, I was visiting Bishop Auckland Market Place and took in the two well laid out fruit and market garden stalls.
When looking towards the new tower, I saw a mass of people on the stairs going up to the viewing area. So off I went thinking it was open day.
I asked a lady at the bottom if it was the open day and she said she did not know, but her husband had gone up, so off I went.
However, when I was at the top I was then asked if I was a volunteer and then shown back down the stairs.
I think the view from the new job centre at Vinovium House is far better, but this must be charged also as each time I receive my benefits there is money taken off.
