HOW pleasant it was to read Mr Cumberland’s letter praising the efforts of “Saint” Ruffer in Bishop Auckland (HAS, Sept 29).
What a contrast it was from the normal hate-filled comments directed at public school-educated, former bankers, who like Mr Ruffer, run hedge funds, and blaming them for all the ills of the modern world.
