ON August 21 I decided to lay out my electric train set, purely for my grandson (of course).
Anyway, imagine my surprise today (Aug 22) when on reading the Echo I noticed a postage stamp was being produced of the Royal Mail carriage which I have in my collection.
Today, with much pride, I have been running my 1950s carriage around the track alongside the 1950s engine 46201 Princess Elizabeth in black.
I say running alongside because I appear to have mislaid the tender so am unable to attach anything to the engine.
I had a great hour and my grandson hasn’t even visited yet.
