REGARDING the recent declaration of the New Seven Wonders of the World in Lisbon after a worldwide vote, I guess the following would be the Tees Valley seven wonders, in created and natural categories. Any other versions?
Created: 1, Stockton and Darlington Railway 1825; 2, Transporter Bridge; 3, Barnard Castle (the Castle); 4, Hartlepool Historic Quay; 5, Bowes Museum; 6, Cow Green Reservoir (Upper Teesdale); 7, Tees Barrage at Thornaby.
Natural: 1, High Force waterfall/River Tees; 2, Seal Sands/wildlife (Teesmouth); 3, Teesdale (landscape); 4, Roseberry Topping; 5, Gibson's Cave (at Bowlees); 6, Cowpen Marsh/wildlife; 7, Cleveland Hills/North Pennines.
