MRS P Stringer paints a totally false picture of Israel's situation in the Middle East (HAS, June 12).
Of course, Israelis have the right to live safely behind their borders.
The reality is they have occupied Arab land for 40 years and now claim it as their own - building new settlements as fast as they can.
Their abuse of the Palestinians is known the world over, but because they live under the umbrella of huge support from the US they think they can do as they please, and they do.
Rockets are fired into a few Israeli border areas, but cause little or no damage, perhaps injuring a few and, to my knowledge, only one death - bad enough but a fleabite compared to the barbaric treatment meted out to the Palestinians by the Israeli military.
Despite the suffering of Jews (among others) under the Nazis, they seem intent on heaping suffering and humiliation on the Palestinians.
Isn't it true that those who are bullied turn to bully others? Such is the perversity of human nature.
