I READ that the Church of England is to be sponsor of a new academy in Darlington. Will this new school be run on less religious lines than Kings Academy, in Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough?
The latter school, lest we forget, believes that the Bible and its message should be taught throughout the curriculum. This school is also staffed exclusively with people who "share the ethos", leaving no room for secularists, indeed, actively discriminating against them despite their taxes being good enough to be used to pay for the school.
Will this new academy learn from this? I doubt it.
