I AGREE with E Rowe (HAS, April 7) that parish councils are a waste of time and money, an unnecessary extra tax tier for voters. A parish council has to ask a district council if something needs doing, so if you have a parish and a district councillor on your estate it is obvious which one any normal person would ask. Money for nothing if you ask me. What next?
