WHY was SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon was allowed to take part in the recent television debate? She was spouting on about what she can do for the rest of us but that is misleading. She does not represent the nation as a whole.
The Northern Echo does not represent the majority in our country, but tries to insult us with Scottish Nationalism and its arrogance. The SNP has every intention of breaking from the UK.
Ironically, it was the Scots who asked for the Union in the first place and now, after the debacle of Tony Blair and Gordon Brown, wish to blame those in the south of England for their woes. There are mumblings about what Ms Sturgeon has said to a representative of the French government – that she hopes David Cameron wins the forthcoming election - which she denies.
Of course, the French cannot be entirely trusted, but nor can the SNP.
The Northern Echo would do better asking Labour what does it intend to give the Scots if they are to lead the nation and especially the North-East, with the SNP hanging on to their shirt tails. Let us have the truth for once.
