COUNCILLOR George Dunning, leader of Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, is seeking to recant what he and his controlling Labour group have done to.
We have had to endure endless issues over four years. Four years of maximum rate rises and reduced services, which has depressed the electors in the borough totally. He has presided over profligate spending which in due course will have to be paid for by every rate payer and impact negatively on all who reside here.
What we also need to understand is what is the true meaning of the use of “options” when referred to by this council, because it means endless delay and indecision as illustrated by the situation currently in Boosbeck, where the people of the village are forever subject to a council group hell bent on denying them a decent and happy life by not closing the abattoir now.
More “options” are presented in the flooding report produced by the council into floods in Redcar.
This report appears to be an attempt to absolve the council from blame for the extent of damage caused.
We all have our own memories of the recent work of this council cabinet, and do not need reminding of them, and look forward with others to the opportunity to recant them on our ballot papers in May 2015.
