THE Scots have a vote on September 18 on whether they should become independent or remain part of the United Kingdom.
I am sure that David Cameron agreed to it because he was convinced that the electors there would not have wanted to leave the charmed circle of Westminster politics.
As I see it there is the surface appearance of democracy, the wishes of the electors being sovereign but the real power is in the hands of those who own and control capital and they don’t want Scotland to be independent unless it is on their terms.
The Westminster establishment has done its best to frighten Scottish voters about the consequences of voting for independence.
Now they have resorted to promises of great things if they vote no.
What is already revealed is the way all the three main parties are on one side and their disagreements amount to mere shadow boxing. Yet next year they will try to convince us to choose between them.
