MICK PEACOCK complained about the arrogance of Jose Mourinho in his recent letter (HAS, Mar 24), and many others will no doubt agree with his view.
After years of having boring managers involved in English football, I quite like him.
Yes, his braggadocio can be a tad annoying at times, but his managerial record speaks for itself and he always seems to get the best out of his players.
Mind you, Jose’s remarks about the referee, Chris Foy, last week were bending the rules to the limit. If they had been uttered by Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini he would have been sent to Pluto by the FA by now.
Nevertheless, I think the Premier League is a better place with characters like Mourinho and, even as a Manchester City fan, he still somewhat amuses me.
I admire the flamboyancy of winners and that’s what Mourinho is because he’s been there and done it.
