THE Ministry of Defence (MoD) is running a massive recruitment advertising campaign for the Armed Forces.
Is this the same MoD which has been serving redundancy notices upon veteran troops at bases across the UK and overseas?
The taxpayer, via the MoD, have invested God knows how much money in the training of our troops to a very high standard. In fact, our soldiers are the envy of the world. But we train them up only to dump them on the scrap heap when so many have gained the experience needed to serve in any location throughout the world, helping to bring stability to others who may not have it.
Forgive me if I am reading from the wrong script of the MoD master plan, but would it not be better to keep highlytrained troops than spend thousands on an advertising campaign and then have to spend even more training recruits?
